With your donation you are supporting the Monument’s numerous Worksites
The history of the Cathedral has always been linked to the generosity of great families, illustrious patrons, and citizens who, over the centuries, have donated goods and labour to build a unique and one-off Monument like the Milanese Cathedral. With 135 spires, one of the biggest organs in the World and first in Italy, and countless artistic treasures, Milan Cathedral requires continuous care and supervision by the specialised staff at the Veneranda Fabbrica.
With your gesture you can support one of the Veneranda Fabbrica fundraising projects, such as “Get your Spire. Carve your name in history” for the restoration of the spires of the Duomo di Milano, the most fragile architectural elements and the most exposed to environmental influences; or the project “15800 notes for the Duomo”, started with the aim of raising funds to support the restoration of the Great Organ.
There are also several worksites at the Monument which you can make a contribution to with a donation: the restoration of the Aquilonare Sacristy, the altars of the southern nave, the stained glass windows, and the imposing construction site of the Lantern. A commitment that knows no end and that thanks to your support, will be able to continue.
